Website Optimisation Workshop

Aim

To empower small business owners with the skill of optimising their own company website for the search engines. To demystify the techniques used to gain better search engine listings and offer a limited number of local small businesses a practical workshop to help optimise their own website.

Target Audience

Small companies who have a corporate website only. This workshop is not available to internet promotion or web design companies.

Workshop

During the workshop part of the day candidates will be shown techniques for optimising web pages using a sample website. They will be shown how to develop the key optimisation elements for a webpage, these are the development of optimised title, keywords, description and page content.

Each candidate will be asked to pick a webpage from their own company website to optimise. An hour will be allowed for all the candidates to come up with the optimisation for their chosen webpage.

At the end of the hour each candidates optimisation will be reviewed in turn as a group appraisal and discussion. This exercise will be used to highlight the key do’s and don’t of optimisation.

By the end of the workshop session each candidate will have put the mornings tutorial information to practical use and have a head start on optimisation for their entire website to take away and implement.
